Micro Crystalline Cellulose is purified; partially deploymerized Alpha Cellulose derived from purified specialty grades of wood pulp. It is white, odorless, tasteless relatively free flowing powder that is virtually free from Organic and inorganic contaminants. It is insoluble in water, in dilute acids and in most organic solvents: practically insoluble in Sodium Hydroxide (1 in 20).

Applications

• MCCP is widely used for direct compression
   tableting and    wet granulation.

• Enhances moisture control in making breads.

• Bulking agent in Food Products.

• Converts Oil based foods and syrups to free flowing    granular powder.

• Coloring base for natural dyes.

• Stabilizer in the manufacture of ice creams and    cakes.

• Can be extruded to make low calorie spaghetti,
    macaroni    and noodles.

• Hydrocolloid compatibility makes it useful in the    manufacture of creams, lotions and various
   cosmetics    emulsions
